Meeting at Panublion Museum
On 2 October 2018, a meeting on the project “Balay Sugilanon / Story House” was held at the Panublion Museum in Roxas. VIVA EXCON CAPIZ 2018 will be held from 8th November, and it has been nearly a month to launch the VIVA EXCON.
The project “Balay Sugilanon / Story House” is not my own project, but a collaboration project with local artists. Around twenty artists are involved in this project. We will do one project with the same theme. In this project, we will listen to various experiences and nostalgic memories about Lohas of the past from people gathering at the café next to Panublion Museum, and based on that interview we will create a museum of people in this area.
The theme of this meeting was an overall explanation, schedule and role sharing. The artists need to do various types of work on projects, interviewing, building museums and other constructions, painting portraits for interviewees, editing the documents, etc. Whether or not I can get along well, I am honestly very nervous. Fortunately, the artists who participate are all seriously working and are looking forward to the outcome of the project.
LAWAS, a public art project in UP Diliman
I participated in the opening of LAWAS, a public art project in UP Diliman yesterday. This is an outdoor exhibition by three artists, Agnes Arellano, Mark Justiniani, and Lee Paje, curated by Tessa Maria Guazon and Cecilia De la Paz, UP Department of Art Studies faculty.

From April 2018, I was enrolled as a visiting researcher at the University of the Philippines Diliman for sabbatical leave.
It is 5th of June today. It means I have already been two months since I came to the Philippines. However, I thought about trying to blog things I’ve written up little by little. I had been thinking about writing a blog for a long time, but I have not gotten any opportunity to grasp the chance as I am quite a lazy person.
I have never kept up writing a diary since I was born, I am not sure I can do it or not. Anyway, since I came to the Philippines, there are so many materials which I write, so I think it might be the time to start writing. Also, there are occasions when there are more opportunities to write than before, so there is a meaning of future story making as well.
2018年4月より一年間、大学の在外研修でフィリピン大学ディリマン校に客員研究員として在籍することになった。
もう今日は6月5日なので、フィリピン滞在からもうすでに２ヶ月経ってしまったが、これまでに書き溜めたものを少しずつブログにしてみようと考えた。ブログを書くことについては以前から考えていたが、結構怠慢な人間なのと、きっかけが掴めずここまできた。
日記を書き始めて続いた試しがないので、どこまでできるのやらという感じなのだが、フィリピンにきてから、この2ヶ月ほどの間にも書くネタが尽きない在外研修なのでそう行った意味では今がその時、なのかもしれない。また、以前と比べて書く仕事が増えているということもあるので、そのトレーニングという感じでもある。
